The trick, I think, is to let people know what you know.
The ins and outs of your topic may seem obvious to you, but you probably spend your time working at it or thinking about it – old hat for you.
Your right people, your readers, are reading you for a reason. They want to know what you know. What is old news for you can be a revelation to them. Have faith that they know what they want and are on a quest to get it. They have found you for a reason.
Your job in this case is to say your thing in the best words, and with the greatest clarity that you can. Then your people can figure out if you are giving them what they are looking for.
